Ulysses Aoki is a Photographer, Visual Artist and Sustainability Advocate based in Tokyo, Japan.
He grew up in Tokyo working as a fashion model since the age of 6, which allowed him to be on the receiving end of a camera, and more largely the world of commercial fashion and art. After being in the fashion/modeling space for 15 years, Ulysses picked up the camera as a means to practice art as a whole.
Ever since, his photography has led him to work with collaborative projects with brands and entities such as Uniqlo, Xiaomi, Plan C, Hodinkee, The Giacometti Foundation, The Dubai Tourism Board and The Yakushima Tourism Board, while working with photography and camera related companies such as Leica, Hasselblad, Ricoh, Sony and Kitamura Camera.
Ulysses has also has worked within the sustainability industry in Japan for 10 years where he serves as an executive and as an advisor for several entities. He has been a panelist and speaker in numerous events hosted by organizations such as UNESCO, UNGC, International NGOs, The Financial Services Agency in Japan, International Schools, and large corporations alike.
